So much to see in Mexico City!!
Beautiful hotels and restaurants!
Now that's a Mexican breakfast!
What?! We don't even have this in St. Geroge, yet!
The guys enjoyed the greenhouses...
Museum/ home of Frida Kahlo. She was such a unique person with an intriguing life story and outlook on life! Her artwork is world-famous and it was neat to see the place she lived her whole life and what she created there.
We are Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera!
Gotta love the vendors everywhere! All you need is the back of a van, apparently!
Dinner and a show! We got an up-close and personal performance! I felt so Mexican at that moment!
Tamales :)
Stained glass ceiling at the enormous, elegant theater downtown! We saw the most AMAZING "folk ballet" of traditional Mexican dancing. It was incredible and one of the best performances I have EVER seen! One of the highlights of the trip so far for me! I always love that kind of stuff!
Aztec ruins are buried under Mexico City!
Our guide was funny and taught us a lot about the "Tempo Mayor" with the Aztec structures and artifacts that have been uncovered there.
"Dig, dig, dig, dig..."
Thousands of years of history right here! (Aztec ruins, early Spanish cathedral, modern skyscraper!)
More Diego Rivera murals- so much color, detail, and history!
